Aikido Assistant Instructor
Personal Background
Born in Komarno, in former Czechoslovakia (now Slovak Republic), having Hungarian nationality. Been living in London since 2005.
Martial Arts Background
I have always enjoyed different forms of physical activity. I was introduced to Aikido by a friend, but after my first training session in 1999 it became a major part of my life. Before moving to London, I trained under one of the most well-known Hungarian masters, Laszlo Elsner, 5th Dan Aikikai Aikido, who was the first pioneer of this Japanese martial art in Hungary, nearly 30 years ago.
Favourite Technique
I have no one favourite technique. I would rather say that I prefer whatever seems simplest and most natural at the moment in question.
Grades Held
1st kyu, Aikido Foundation (Hungary)
Hobbies
Swimming, reading, traveling, cycling, listening to music.
Why Holistic?
The club is more than just a place for martial arts training. It attracts a wide range of people with different interests, and the leadership of Stephen Dixon also makes for a great club atmosphere.
