The Benefits of Combat Sport & MMA
Our Classes cover a wide range of techniques from unarmed combat - kicks, Hand strikes, single-arm fighting, grappling, throws, locks, pressure points etc, To weaponry, which include knife defence, stick -work, belt-work and more.
These techniques work the whole body, increasing strength, speed, power, endurance, flexibility and coordination, whilst developing fighting tactics and mindset.
You will learn an all round self-defence system that aims to teach realistic and proven modern martial arts, whilst maintaining the discipline and focus of the traditional arts.
A Typical Class
Combat Martial Arts uses conditioning drills that are specific to the body movements. As grappling is such a vital part in self-defence, we end every class with either grappling techniques or free grappling.
The Syllabus
There are 9 levels of training prior to black belt. The table below shows a brief overview of the syllabus and what you can expect to learn.

Combat Sport aims to teach realistic and proven modern martial arts, whilst maintaining the discipline and focus of the traditional arts. A great emphasis is placed on teamwork, sharing knowledge and developing effective, yet safe training methods.
MMA / SportCombat class prices:
- £12.00 per session
- £40-00 per month for 1 session per week
- £65-00 per month for 2 sessions per week
- £85-00 per month for 3 sessions per week.
